Strictly Come Signing Competition

Hard work and lots of practice ensured that Wells won the competition.  Well done to all those that took part.  Watch our entry below.

Happy 50th Anniversary Wells Primary School!

Wells turned 50 on the 28th September and we didn't let the day pass unnoticed.  We started the day dressed in gold and sang and danced our way through a very entertaining assembly.  Next our class presentations took place, sharing information with each other about life in 1968.  The children played a selection of games none of which had batteries or plugs! Jack Straws, Tiddly Winks, Beetle, Jacks, French skipping, Cat's cradle, all the child found them very entertaining. Mrs Henderson ventured up onto the roof with a very helpful parent for a special photograph of the whole school.  The afternoon was spent in our playground with more games and a picnic in the sunshine, thanks to our supportive PTA.  We are looking forward now and wondering what the next 50 years will hold for our school.

Special Television Personality Shares his Debating Skills with our School Council

We were very lucky to have the opportunity for our School Council members to learn about debating skills from a very special person, Shaun Wallace from the popular television quiz show The Chase.

The Royal Albert Hall

On March 16th our school choir were privileged to take part in the 21st Redbridge Choral Festival  held at the Royal Albert Hall.  The evening was a great success and enjoyed by all that attended.  Below is a link for you to purchase, should you wish, a copy of the evenings musical events.

Off up to the city for the day!

Our school and ECO council members headed off for a day in the big city.  They were lucky enough to visit the Houses of Parliament to learn about democracy and then headed off to Downing Street to see if the PM was home for a chat.  Unfortunately he was a little busy to meet with them but they took advantage of a great photo opportunity whilst there.

Number 10

Reading Competition

Some of the KS2 children decided they wanted to enter a reading competition.  All that the children were told they had to do was create something to show . . .  'A world without books'.  Although we didn't win we hope you enjoy watching their entry.

Remembrance Day

To commemorate the 100 year anniversary of World War I this month our children have been writing poems about the fallen soldiers and creating some lovely poppy art pieces.  Below you can read and hear some of their creations.

Stay Safe and Happy at Wells

Many of the children have enjoyed being part of our film crew and acting cast when they created a news reel video about all the things Wells Primary School children can do to help them stay safe and happy in school.  We have some budding news casters, actors and editors in our ranks as I am sure you will agree.
