Dear Parents/carers

As you are aware, Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday and therefore school will be closed on this day.

The Council held both the proclamation of the new King and a vigil for Queen Elizabeth over the weekend and there are further vigils planned this week. The details on those vigils are;

·         Wednesday 14th September – vigil at Goodmayes Library at 76 Goodmayes Lane IG3 9QB, starting at 6pm

·         Friday 16th September – vigil at Redbridge Town Hall in Ilford, starting at 6pm

The Books of Condolence are open at the six different sites around the borough. The opening times vary as it links to the different opening times of each of the buildings.
